Harry Potter and Other Rumpus

So I've decided that I am going to reread the Harry Potter series again. So that would make it the third time that I've read the series. They pretty much never get old! At first I didn't really want to read Harry Potter because everyone and their brother was already obsessed with it, so I must give credit to Hannah for convincing me to read the series that become my favorite series of all time! It's true that I do have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with this series. I mean, what kind of highschooler goes trick-or-treating dressed as Hermione Granger? Well, I guess my kind!

It turns out that I won't be able to go to Chicago this weekend after all. :( It was canceled, "due to probable thunderstorms." Pffffft. I was so excited to go to Borders, and we had decided that we were going to go to the Cheesecake Factory too! Mmmmmm. I loooooove cheesecake! But no. Of course the stupid weather has to ruin it for me! These random thunderstorms need to go away so I can get on with the rest of my summer! The other day while walking in to summer school, nature decided that it would have a torrential downpour. My jeans were so soaked that it looked like I had fallen into the pool! I then had to sit through the next 4 1/2 hours of the most boring class of my entire life soaking wet. So you can see why I want the storms to leave us alone for a bit.

I decided that I would steal a nifty survey thingamajig from Hannah who stole it from Courtney. So thanks Courtney!!

First Blog Post!!!

Decidophobia- The fear of making decisions. This pretty much sums up my personality. It took me an hour to even come up with a name for this blog! Well I guess since this is my first blog post, I should probably introduce myself. Hello! My name is Christina. I like to read. A lot. My friends and I are attempting to read 75 books this year! Well I don't have much to say, but my best friend, Hannah, convinced me to make a blog. So here I am... making a blog.

So here in the lovely town of ______, IL we have something called the Friendship Festival. It's basically a smaller version of a carnival. It comes around at the beginning of every summer. I can still remember when i was younger, and the second school was out for the summer I would be asking my mom when the Friendship Festival was coming. My mom would even take different routes around town, for fear that my sister and I would see the festival and begin begging to go. "What has this got to do with anything?" you might ask. Well over the years, the Friendship festival has lost its shine, and while I still plan on going there this year, it just doesn't hold the same excitement that it used to. It makes me really miss being a kid when you get excited about holidays or birthdays or even just getting to go to a festival with rides that truthfully are just plain boring. Don't you? Sorry about that random rant. Just somethin' that I've been thinking about lately!

I am super excited about this weekend because two of my best friends are coming over tonight, and we are having a bonfire!! Hellooooooo s'mores!!! I really do enjoy eating s'mores! :) Plus, on Sunday we are going to Chicago with our youth group! I will most likely spend a majority of the day in Borders seeing as shopping is not my most favorite thing.

Well I guess that's all for now folks! Hopefully I'll be able to make another post soon!
